The decision tool uses data from clinical registries and published studies to predict the likelihood of these items as a result of selected treatment options (lumpectomy, radiation, tamoxifen, and mastectomy):

• Recurrence (DCIS or invasive cancer)
  • Ipsilateral (or same breast)
  • Contralateral
• Likelihood of breast preservation
• Survival
